Single and Double Sided
Single Sided Boards are still being designed for the microwave industry and especially for high quantity consumer products, which are purchased offshore. In the U.S., PCB manufactures need to have special setups for single sided production since most of their manufacturing is multilayer. Double Sided Boards are used where pricing is critical and the circuit speed and noise sensitivity is low.
